Aunty Sade you have fought a good fight

Myself and Aunty Sade we were very close in her lifetime because we grew up together at Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos, Nigeria under her senior sister (and my aunty) Mrs A A Fajolu of blessed memory. Aunty Fajolu brought us up with her children Wole, Femi, Akin, Bunmi and others.

Aunty Sade was a very caring, loving, spiritual and prayerful woman. Whenever I was in England, I always made it a sense of duty to visit her and her husband in Birmingham where they both resided before she went up to glory. Depending on my schedule, whenever I stayed with them, I often spend days or weeks which is often a moment to catch up on family stories and update about Nigeria.

Whenever it was time for me to leave, she would often ask me to stay some more and not leave, and when it was finally time to leave, she would hug me several times. She was generous to the core, sending gifts to each member of the family in Nigeria. We loved each other and her departure has been very painful to me. I will miss her sweet voice on the phone, that sweet voice of love and her words of encouragement.

Aunty Sade you have fought a good fight, you have finished the race, and have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4 :7).
Sleep on beloved sister until the resurrection morning, when we shall meet to part no more in Jesus Name Amen.
